A Learning and Teaching Collective for the Arts and Humanities

Welcome to School For the Humanities, a fledgling education collective for the study of the arts and humanities! Our purpose dreaming up new schemes for the flourishing of the humanities, with or without the direct support of universities. Our immediate aim is to start reading groups, crafting circles, and music collectives for appreciation, discussion, and concert-going as well as performance. 

You will find here many preliminary attempts at the sorts of practices that the School For the Humanities aims to cultivate: reading and discussing literature out loud and with concerted purpose; exploring the connection between the textual and material arts, especially woodworking and the sense of touch, too often discounted as a source of knowledge; and hearing and making music together as a practice of embodied communal joy.
